Canadian Duo USS To Release Chart-Topping Album in the U.S.


USS‘Advanced Basics’, produced by Tawgs Salter (Lights, Walk Off The Earth), has been hugely successful in Canada, premiering at #2 on the iTunes Top 200 and #1 on the Alternative and Independent charts on Soundscan, as well as spawning seven Top 10 radio hits and two certified Gold singles. The album has also earned the band a JUNO nomination for “Breakthrough Group of the Year,” and an Indie Award for “Single of the Year” with “Yin Yang,” beating out acts such as MAGIC!, Chromeo and Death From Above 1979.

Award-winning Canadian musical scientists USS have announced plans to release their chart-topping album ‘Advanced Basics’ in the U.S. on October 30th. In addition to the seven Top 10 radio hits that will appear on the album – such as the smash “Yin Yang,” which can also be heard on alternative radio in the U.S. – fans will receive the track “N/A OK (Grade of This Collapse)” instantly when they pre-order ‘Advanced Basics.’ “Yin Yang” is also currently on day 5 of winning a head-to-head grudge match on FM 94/9 in San Diego (beating out bands like Imagine Dragons and The Neighbourhood), and is currently the ‘Best Music Discovery Ever…This Week’ on ALT 98.7 in Los Angeles.
