Caryn Parchment is a city girl that has been a Fashionista before the term existed. From the tender age of 8 years old, growing up watching Jeanne Becker on Fashion Television, Caryn always knew that she wanted to parlay into the Fashion world in her adult years. She started off by sketching a fashion line at the age of 16, and then headed off to Ryerson University to study print and fashion marketing. As Caryn, graduated during the recession in 2009, she transitioned her career into the food industry, and a career in print management for multi-level national organizations. However, her heart strings always lead her back to fashion, and thus, she left the food industry, to follow her heart.

In 2013, Caryn started blogging about her views of Paris, London, Milan, New York, and Toronto fashion week across Twitter and Facebook. She realized that she had a genuine interest in writing and blogging, and soon became known as Fashionable Foodie Toronto, the woman who showcased her two passions, fashion & food from Toronto and around the world through her website, blog, and social media.

Through her corporate career, Caryn became the “go-to fashion girl with style” in the office. Women alike would always ask her where she got her signature pieces, or what made her think of pairing those items together. Caryn always says that “My style comes from the quote, ‘If people are going to stare, make it worth their while’”.  Therefore, she has evolved into a fashion stylist that aids in fashion shows, and with photo shoots for magazines.

However, Caryn wanted to make a much bigger impact then by just being a Fashion Stylist and Blogger. She wanted to create a dynamic environment for women in the fashion industry where they could succeed and foster their talent, as many fashion entrepreneurs and models have had the door slammed in their face too many times, leaving them feeling discouraged, and that they will never make a name for themselves. Hence why she collaborated with DivaGirl Inc. Founder Laura Furtado, and created DivaGirl Fashion Toronto, a community that makes friendship in fashion stylish. Through DivaGirl Fashion’s brunches, dinners, soirees, and Fashion Friday runway shows, Caryn creates a great lifestyle, learning and success avenue for females, and fashion entrepreneurs.

And she’s not done yet.
