Canada Media Fund (CMF) administered by Telefilm Canada, and the Government of Alberta (AMF) is confirmed in development on a six-part Television mini-series based on The Northlander,  and The Northlander has obtained a broadcast deal with Aboriginal People’s Television Network (APTN) beginning May 2017 for the next four years. Benjamin Ross Hayden is the youngest recipient of the Telefilm Canada Micro-budget program, and in this capacity has garnered repute as a Rising Star (E. Volmers, The Calgary Herald) and to quote Séquences la Revue de Cinema Editor-in-Chief Élie Castiele who introduced Northlander at Montreal World Film Festival premiere, “How today we speak of David Cronenberg and Atom Egoyan, tomorrow we will speak of Benjamin Ross Hayden”.
